The Kumppanuudessa project will help you take your association to the next level! The project focuses specifically on developing the skills of small associations.
During the training participants will share and advance their know-how on community organizing, alliance building, get to practice strategic campaigning, and acquire new tools to support community wellbeing. The training is strongly suggested for actors working on migrant social justice and integration and it is composed of lectures, group discussions and workshops.
The trainings will take place face-to-face in Helsinki on:
Friday 6th October from 09:30 to 16:00 at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Eteläesplanadi 4
Saturday 7th October from 10:00 to 15:30 at Moniheli, Kuortaneenkatu 1
Training days include lunch.
Trainers Melis Ari-Gurhanli & Meg Sakilayan-Latvala
Melis and Meg have both moved to Finland more than 20 years ago and have worked in the integration field for more than a decade having gained experience working with grassroots organizations, public and third sector, media, funders, politicians and decision-makers.
Melis currently works in MIELI Mental Health Finland as a senior planner in the Civic Actions unit and Meg works as a Senior Lecturer in the field of Social Services at Diaconia University of Applied Sciences. They are both members of the Transatlantic Migration Democracy Dialogue (TMDD) -network’s leadership team, through which they have held capacity building and leadership workshops with European Migrant Leaders.

The registration will end on 30.9.2023, the training will be offered to the first 30 people to register.
