Nonprofit Digital Transformation Journey is a program funded by Microsoft Datacenter Community Affairs and implemented by TechSoup Europe. It offers fully funded, hands-on guidance, tools, and training to help nonprofits become more digitally mature, secure, and impactful.
In the 2025 edition of the program 15 nonprofit organisations will be selected to participate from Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, and Italy.
Organisations active in the Espoo, Kirkkonummi, or Vihti areas of Finland are eligible to apply..

What’s Included?
Participating nonprofits will receive:
- A comprehensive assessment of your organization’s digital maturity and needs
- A tailored Digital Transformation Roadmap, co-designed with your team
- Up to 3 digital transformation projects implemented based on your roadmap (cloud tools, security, automation, data analytics, etc.). See list of available projects here
- Expert-led implementation support and training for your team
- Artificial Intelligence and Change Management workshops to ensure sustainable adoption
- One year of TechSoup Quad membership.
Who can apply?
To be eligible, your organization must:
- Be a nonprofit or civil society organization
- Be active in Espoo, Kirkkonummi or Vihti
- Be committed to participating in all stages of the program
- Assign a representative who is able to commit 2 to 3 hours per week throughout the project implementation period, 6 to 9 months (see timeline below)
- Meet the Microsoft for Nonprofits program criteria. If your organization is unsure about its Microsoft’s eligibility, it can be confirmed after you apply for the Digital Transformation Journey.

Digital Transformation Journey 2025 Phases
What your organization will experience once selected
Each participating nonprofit will go through a customized process with high flexibility. While all organizations go through the same journey structure, each one follows its own pace and timeline depending on their needs and responsiveness.
Understand your needs and create your plan
Phase 1: Digital Assessment & Roadmap Design
Your journey begins with a comprehensive assessment to evaluate your digital maturity, challenges, and opportunities. Based on this, TechSoup will work with you to design a Digital Transformation Roadmap tailored to your priorities and define a workplan to implement the projects.
Timeline: November 2025 – April 2026
Take action with expert support
Phase 2: Project Implementation & Capacity Building
You will implement up to 3 digital projects, with hands-on support from TechSoup and expert consultants. Your team will also participate in AI and Change Management workshops to strengthen long-term adoption and readiness.
- Each organization follows its own flexible implementation timeline
- Projects are defined in your roadmap and aligned with your goals
- Duration varies from 6 to 9 months, depending on your organization responsiveness and time allocation
