Associations are valuable employers that can offer Helsinki jobseekers opportunities to develop their skills, gain meaningful work experience and find new pathways into working life.
The City of Helsinki offers employers a range of financial support that associations can also use when recruiting jobseekers from Helsinki. At this event, you will learn what support is available, who is eligible and how to apply.
The event also provides an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between associations and the City of Helsinki’s employment services and explore how associations can contribute to the employment of Helsinki residents. It is aimed at both experienced employers and associations considering hiring their first employee.
English
A work try-out can offer jobseekers the opportunity to explore a new field, strengthen their skills and take steps towards entering work life. At the same time, associations can provide meaningful work experience and play an active role in promoting the employment of jobseekers in Helsinki.
At the event, an expert from the City of Helsinki will talk about work try-outs and how to use the JobMarket Finland portal. We will cover, amongst other things:
– what a work try-out is and who it is intended for
– how can an association offer a work try-out opportunity?
– what to consider before the work try-out begins and whilst it is taking place
– how matters relating to work try-outs are handled at the JobMarket Finland portal (Työmarkkinatori)
– the role of the City of Helsinki’s employment services and their collaboration with associations.
At the end of the event, there will be time for questions and comments.
