The goal of the Suomi-Syyria Ystävyysseura's activities is to promote and facilitate the integration of Arabic-speaking populations into Finland. Additionally, the aim is to bring the Finnish and Syrian peoples closer and to enhance their mutual interaction. During the Syrian crisis, one of the association's activities has included participating as experts on the country's conditions in discussions about Syria in Finnish media, as well as helping those affected by the crisis both in Finland and Syria.

The association organizes various events related to Syrian culture and arts, such as exhibitions, concerts, networking events, parties, and excursions. It also actively participates in events as a commentator and expert on Syrian culture and the current situation in Syria. During the Syrian crisis, organizing and coordinating various charity events has become a regular part of its activities.
