The purpose of the SOZ is to preserve the Oriental cultural heritage and make it known to Finns. The association has two groups:

1. an Arabic-speaking group for the unemployed and pensioners called Kaunista Zeit and
2. a cultural dance group for young people called Koma Zagros.

We also organise events and parties, and participate in various multicultural events.

Our members come from many different countries, including Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Sudan, Palestine and Finland. Our association is open to all those interested in our activities!
