Eastern dance refers to dances originating from Egypt and other parts of North Africa and the Middle East. What they have in common is the strong use of the torso. Eastern dance is commonly known as belly dancing in everyday language.
Our weekly dance classes include dance technique, choreography, body care, and the enjoyment of the rhythms of Eastern music. The goal is to provide everyone the opportunity to discover the joy and energy that Eastern dance can bring to their lives, on their own terms.
Founded in 1995, our association is the northernmost Eastern dance association in Finland. Our aim is to make Eastern dance culture more well-known and to promote and develop the hobby in Lapland. We have about 30-40 members.
