The word ”Dustur” means "constitution" in Arabic, and it was chosen as the name of the association because it reflects the association's activities and core idea: to provide current and future Arabic-speaking citizens with information and tools that promote their participation in society.
Dustur ry aims to develop young people's awareness and skills by providing training and resources that support their active participation in social and political life. The association organizes seminars, workshops, and discussion events to promote dialogue and cooperation between different social groups, especially considering that many Arabs who have moved to Finland may have limited or even non-existent understanding of politics.
Currently, Dustur's activities are based in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
