Delta State, Nigeria, is home to five distinct ethnic groups: Urhobo, Isoko, Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Anioma. The association serves as a representative body for all of these groups in Finland.
The Association's objectives are centered around fostering unity, cultural exchange, and support for the Delta State community in Finland. Our key goals are:
- To identify and bring together the sons and daughters of Delta state origin domiciled in Finland.
- To enhance their social economic and networking capabilities both in Finland and Nigeria.
- To share our diverse and rich cultural heritage with the Finnish community and other ethnic groups.
- To encourage and promote active children and youth participation in our events and programs.
- To assist newcomers and keep them abreast with current developments in Finland in order to enhance their integration processes.
