

The association organises cultural and educational activities such as traditional music, dance, poetry, and art-related events. As part of this work, it also takes part in organising the annual Palestinian Cultural Festival in Helsinki. These activities present Palestinian culture to wider audiences and create opportunities not only strengthens the bonds within the Palestinian community but also with Finnish society, fostering greater understanding and appreciation.
Alongside cultural work, the association is involved in advocacy and awareness-raising related to human rights and the situation of Palestinians. This work focuses on sharing information, encouraging discussion, and supporting dialogue in Finland.
Many members of the Palestinian community are active in working life and education in fields such as healthcare, academia, and business. Through its activities, the association supports integration by strengthening language skills, social networks, and participation in Finnish society.
The community in Finland has developed over time, particularly in larger cities, and continues to adapt to changing needs. The association’s work aims to support inclusion and maintain cultural continuity as part of Finland’s civic and cultural life.
