Turku Together Ry is a nonprofit organization based in Turku that promotes mental well-being, social integration, and creativity among immigrants, minority groups, and local residents. Founded by individuals with lived experience of migration and cultural adaptation, our mission is to build bridges between people through shared experiences, dialogue, and art.
We believe that a more connected and inclusive society is built by creating safe, welcoming spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Our activities include peer-support gatherings, community events, intercultural workshops, and creative collaborations that highlight the diverse cultures present in Finland.
A key part of our work is ensuring accessibility through multilingual communication and programming. We regularly host events and workshops in multiple languages, including Finnish, Swedish, English, and other community languages, to ensure broader participation and understanding.
We are committed to fostering meaningful connections between immigrants, minority communities, and Finnish- and Swedish-speaking residents. Through cultural cafés, storytelling circles, creative workshops, and collaborative projects, we encourage people to not only celebrate their own identities but also engage with the stories and experiences of others.
Turku Together is not just an organization—it is a growing, living community rooted in solidarity, empathy, and co-creation. Together, we strive to make Turku a place where everyone belongs.
