Viittakivi College was launched in 1952, five years after the Paris Peace Accords. Permanent peace loomed in the future but is as yet out of reach. The association was registered in 1961. The association was founded as a channel of communication between friends and former students of Viittakivi College.
The association is committed to promoting the holistic well-being, spirituality and addiction-free lifestyle of people, applying the best practices and principles of the Viittakivi College, which was closed in 2007. Membership of the Association is open to individuals, legal entities and foundations who wish to promote the purpose of the Association. The association administers the Elvi Saari Scholarship Fund, which is open to donations.
