Moniheli has appointed a new Election Committee to oversee and support the association's democratic processes and upcoming board elections. The committee comprises experienced civil society actors with strong backgrounds in multiculturalism, integration, and community leadership.<\/p>\n

The appointed members are Emma Tamankag, Jana B. Turk, Aura Tarjanne, Margarita Sakilayan-Latvala, and Joonatan Nsukami. Krishna Bhandari was appointed as a deputy member.<\/p>\n

Emma Tamankag<\/strong> is Moniheli's former chairperson and a long-standing community advocate known for her bold yet constructive efforts to advance the well-being and rights of migrant women. She brings extensive experience in intercultural dialogue and grassroots empowerment.<\/p>\n

Jana B. Turk<\/strong> is a communications and inclusion expert who has worked on numerous projects aimed at strengthening the participation of people with migrant backgrounds. She has also contributed to NGO governance and strategic development. Jana has been involved in the past with Moniheli in several roles.<\/p>\n

Aura Tarjanne<\/strong> brings solid expertise in civic engagement and administrative governance. She has collaborated with multicultural organizations and actively promoted inclusive decision-making processes.<\/p>\n

Margarita ”Meg” Sakilayan-Latvala<\/strong> is an active community organizer and professional in grassroots work, with a special focus on women\u2019s rights, education, and supporting integration. Her efforts center on advancing inclusion and participation among minority groups.<\/p>\n

Joonatan Nsukami<\/strong> works at the Deaconess Foundation in Helsinki and has significant experience in integration and youth services. He has served on the board of Yhteiset Lapsemme ry and specializes in equality, inclusion, and building safe community spaces. Joonatan won the pitching contest held in the Integration 2024 event with is integration project idea.<\/p>\n

Deputy member Krishna Bhandari<\/strong> is one of the founding members of Moniheli and a researcher with a PhD in economics and business administration. He has been active in the Non-Resident Nepali Association and brings deep insight into diversity, nonprofit governance, and integration policies in Finland.<\/p>\n
