Moniheli is looking for a project coordinator for Luontokoti project 2022-2024

Come strengthen integration in nature and garden together with Moniheli and Martha Organization!

Moniheli is starting a 3-year STEA funded Luontokoti project together with the Martha Organization, that aims to strengthen the participation and connections of immigrants by introducing them to the Finnish nature, natural products and horticulture in environment- and climate-friendly ways. The project will be implemented nation-wide with the Martha Organization, Moniheli’s member associations and other multicultural actors.

The position is fixed-term from March 1st 2022 until December 31st 2024, provided that the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health grants annual funding.

 

Project coordinator duties include:.

  • Being responsible for the coordination, management, financial and operational monitoring, evaluation and reporting to the funder of the project.
  • Working in close cooperation with the Martha Organization. You will be working as a work partner with a specialist from Martha Organization.
  • Including member associations in the project's operations.
  • Developing and producing environment- and climate friendly operating models and training, communication and marketing materials related to nature and gardening.
  • Training volunteers as environment ambassadors
  • Organising and executing events.
  • Communicating and influencing in many social media channels as well as different networks, stakeholders and discussions.

 

The project coordinator we are looking for has:

  • Suitable education for the position (e.g. university of applied science level)
  • Good Finnish and English skills (oral and written), other languages are a plus
  • Experience of working in a multicultural work community
  • Independent and flexible approach to work
  • Good networking, interaction and presentation skills
  • Good organizational skill and ability to work under pressure
  • Communications and marketing experience and digital skills. Ability to produce text and content as well as operating models taking into consideration different needs and target groups.
  • Experience and interest in advancing integration.
  • Knowledge and experience of the multicultural field
