Cooperation forums

One of the activities of the OmaPolku project is the cooperation forums, which aim to develop interaction and cooperation between immigrant parents and study counsellors at the stage when young people are planning and choosing their post-compulsory education path.

The cooperation forums bring together young people with an immigrant background, immigrant parents, study counsellors, representatives of immigrant organisations and other stakeholders and experts involved in developing cooperation and interaction between home and school. The Forum brings together representatives from different sectors on an equal footing and, through an open dialogue, seeks solutions for developing cooperation between home and school.

The first cooperation forum of the project was organised in spring 2021. Cooperation forums will be organised in the Uusimaa region during the second and third years of the project.
