Sign up for the two-day training in cultural sensitive counselling! The training is aimed at secondary school counsellors who need support and new ideas for culturally sensitive counselling. Please note that the training is in Finnish only!
Guidance counsellors who have completed the training understand why cultural sensitivity is an important part of guidance work and home-school cooperation. Participants will be equipped with tools to better take into account young people from different cultural backgrounds and their families in their guidance work.
Participation in the training does not require extensive prior knowledge of culturally sensitive guidance.
Registration
The registration period is 5.8.-5.10.2022. 50 participants will be admitted. By registering, you commit to attend both training days. The training is free of charge. Registration is via the link below (IN FINNISH ONLY):

Koulutus sisältää asiantuntija-alustuksia sekä yhteistä kehittämistä pienryhmäkeskustelujen ja erilaisten harjoitusten muodossa. Osallistujat saavat lisäksi käyttöönsä oppilaanohjaajille ja muille ohjausalan ammattilaisille suunnatun Kulttuurisensitiivinen ohjaus – itseopiskelumateriaalin.
Koulutus toteutetaan Zoom-verkkoympäristössä. Osallistuminen vaatii toimivan internet-yhteyden, mikrofonin, mahdollisuuksien mukaan kameran sekä rauhallisen tilan, jossa on mahdollista keskittyä koulutukseen.
The two-day training is a coherent whole. It is therefore important that you commit to attending both days of the training.

Moniheli's OmaPolku project organises the training in cooperation with the Ohjausosuuskunta Ote. It is a continuation of a pilot training in 2021, which has been praised. OmaPolku strengthens the cultural sensitivity skills of guidance counsellors and the capacity of migrant parents to support young people in choosing an educational path.
